Arrival and parking facilities
There is ample designated parking on our driveway for 3 cars with additional space in a lock up garage for bikes trailers and classic cars with your own key. There are low curbs and no gradients.
Assistance with luggage is offered to all guests.
The entrance is accessed along a concrete path where there is one step into the hallway. The path and parking area is lit by sensor lighting at night.
We regretfully do not have provision for guide dogs.
Main entrance and reception
Beautifully landscaped with fabulous views of High Tor sit outside on two patios and enjoy a glass of wine or home made tea and cakes while you watch the climbers. In summer you can invite your friends and family to relax with you on the patio and use the spa.
Guests will be escorted to their rooms and facilities explained.
The stairway and corridors have a wooden hand rail on the right with 12 steps 18cms high leading to the first floor rooms. Contrasting colours on the walls.
Public areas (internal)
Guest dining room has a wooden floor, stairs corridors and rooms are all carpeted. En-suites and shower rooms have high quality non slip flooring.
Dining room and guest lounge
Breakfast and evening meal is served in the dining room on the ground floor.
Furniture is flexible to seat from one to eight guests.
Square tables have an under space of 62 cm high, legs on each corner. There are leather chairs without arms which can be moved.
Full waitress service is provided.
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other diets catered for.
The bed and breakfast is non smoking throughout the premises. We do have an outside smoking area to the right of the main entrance on a raised decking area chairs and brolly with one 20 cm step.
We do provide washing and drying service for a nominal charge.
Drinks are served in the guest lounge or outside till 8.30 pm by pressing the call button next to the guest lounge door.
All bedrooms are on the first floor with a lockable door. Rooms one and two are accessed by turning right and immediately right again up a 10 cm step both have en-suites, room three is at the top of the stairs to the left and has 6 cm step and a separate lockable bathroom to the right at the top of the stairs and inside has an 10 cm step 40cm to the left of the door.
Televisions all have remote control and subtitles.
The owners can be contacted 24/7 by pressing the call bell next to the guest lounge or ringing the landline telephone on 01629 583629.
Carpets are short pile with non slip flooring in all bathrooms.
Lights are fitted with low energy bulbs and all beds have additional reading lights.
Shower room and WC (en-suite or separate shower room)
Rooms one and two are en-suite and have a 10 cm step into the shower cubicle as does the shower in bathroom three. Room two does not have frosted glass please close the window blind. All have complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and shower cap. There is a wall radiator in each bathroom. Towels are all provided within easy reach. All areas have black non-slip flooring.
The wash basins have clear under space which is 76 cm high.
The toilet has available free space and is 39 cm high.
